The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that skillful bettors are agile enough to select the most money-making machine every time.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that have been won. Additionally, some styles of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their wins, in which situation a further game is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
